BELIEVE TO ACHIEVE

My greatest triumph?

Choosing not to hide anymore.

Publishing my first book cracked open the shell of the "good girl" I used to be.

Now, I rise — unapologetically proud, fully seen.

This year, I emerge at the Arts in Black Festival on May 3rd, 2025 at Fulwood Park located in Tifton, GA to celebrate the artist I've always been becoming, my retirement, and my upcoming birthday.

CLOSING CHAPTER 35

Thank you for shaping my soul in the furnace of trials —

For teaching me to stand steady,

Speak truth with clarity,

And trust the vision,

Even when it came through fog.

After 15 years of service,

I lay down the weight of the uniform —

No more hiding behind duty or polite declines.

I rise now,

Bare and bold,

Stepping fully into purpose.

Hello again, Tift County -

The soil that cradled my first breath,

The hometown I once vanished into while chasing fragments of myself.

Every attempt to outrun you became a compass, Leading me home -

To me.
